FAQ's

Public training course bookings must be made online via our website. Learning Connexions will acknowledge receipt of your booking, confirm the order details and how payment is to be made.

When registering via our website, payment can be made online by Credit/Debit Card or select invoice option for BACS/PO/Wire Transfer payments.

Purchase Orders

It is the responsibility of the booker to provide Learning Connexions with a relevant Purchase Order if one is required, and to ensure Learning Connexions has been provided with current company accounts payable details including email address.

Please email POs to info@learningconnexions.com and we can re-issue the invoice quoting the PO number. Making a booking constitutes a binding contract according to our terms and conditions herein.

Quotes/ Provisional Bookings

Provisional Bookings can be made via email to info@learningconnexions.com. Provisional bookings must be confirmed within 7 days for the booking to be retained.

Course fees are quoted exclusive of VAT which should be added, at the prevailing rate, to the quoted figure.

Accessibility/ Specific Needs

Learning Connexions aims to ensure that its courses are accessible to all. Should you have any specific requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@learningconnexions.com

Warranty and Liability

It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that delegates have the necessary level of competence to be able to achieve the course objectives. The customer must also be responsible for confirming that the course is suitable for the delegate.

All registrations are provisional until we receive payment for your booking. Once payment is received your space is guaranteed and you will automatically be sent the Course Joining Instructions (CJI’s) and all the relevant details directly.

Invoices are payable within 30 days of registration/invoice date or prior to the course start date (whichever is sooner). Our financial information and terms of payment will be included on your invoice however should you require further information then please email info@learningconnexions.com.

Payment can be made directly via our website at the time of booking by Credit/Debit card including Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

For Credit/Debit card payments after registration, please use the secure link on your invoice, we do not take card payments over the phone.

For bookings within 7 days of the course start date, payment must be made at the time of booking.

Learning Connexions reserves the right to modify course content, to alter or cancel course dates and to change the training venue (to a similar venue within a reasonable/local distance). Learning Connexions also reserve the right to refuse admission if payment has not been received.

Terms & Conditions of Business

We accept payment by various methods which include:

  • bank transfer
  • credit/ debit card at the time of booking online or you can use the secure link on the invoice
  • PayPal
  • cheques made payable to Learning Connexions (UK) Ltd and posted to Learning Connexions, 5 St John’s Lane, London, EC1M 4BH.

If a cheque is posted, it should arrive within 7 days of the booking being made, or the place may be reallocated.

Receipts

You will be sent an automated receipt when making payment by card online. If you require a receipt for payment made via invoice then please email us on info@learningconnexions.com stating your order number.

Late Payment

Learning Connexions reserves the right to refuse course admission if payment has not been received prior to the course start date.

Under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, late payment will be subject to an interest charge of 8% above base rate on the full amount outstanding.

All Learning Connexions public courses are subject to VAT at the current rate (20%). Public course fees include tuition on the day(s), all relevant course materials, lunch and refreshments. Exam fees, certification and membership fees are included for relevant courses.

VAT Reverse Charging

For non-UK delegates attending our UK courses the following applies regarding VAT;
Our invoices are chargeable to UK VAT at the 20% standard rate on the basis that place of supply for VAT purposes is where the admission to the training event takes place.

VAT on Romanian courses

We do not charge VAT on courses that take place in Romania. Public course fees include tuition on the day(s), all relevant course materials, lunch and refreshments. Exam fees, certification and membership fees are included for relevant courses.

Course Joining Instructions include venue details, course start/finish times and trainer details and are sent within 24 hours of payment. If you have not received your CJI, then first check internally the invoice has been paid.

Course reminders are sent out again approximately 14 days before the event date provided that payment has been made.  

These are system generated CJIs and may occasionally be blocked by email providers. Please check your junk/SPAM mail folder, and if you have not received CJIs please contact us by email on info@learningconnexions.com. All the course information is also available on the relevant course page on our website for your reference.

Any travel or accommodation booked before receipt of joining instructions should be on a flexible (fully refundable) basis, in case of any event changes.

All cancellations and amendments to bookings must be received in writing by email to info@learningconnexions.com. Cancellations can be accepted without liability within 7 days of your order, provided that the provision of the Services has not commenced.

If you cancel your attendance and notify us up to 15 working days before the start date of the course, you will receive a full refund less an administration fee of 20% (plus VAT). If you withdraw within the 15-day period, the full fee will remain payable.

A supplementary fee invoice will be issued for cancellation fees.

Where Learning Connexions receives no cancellation notice from the customer prior to the start of the course, and the delegate does not attend the training, the following will apply:

  • No refund of the course fee will be made. If payment has not been made, full payment plus any applicable interest charge will be due immediately.
  • The option to transfer is not available and a new course booking will need to be made and paid for.

You can nominate a substitute attendee free of charge.

Please email Learning Connexions prior to commencement of the course if substitutions are to be made with the name/ email of the new delegate and who they will be replacing. 

There are no charges for delegate substitutions however, delegates must have the necessary pre-requisites in order to attend the course.

Learning Connexions understands that circumstances may occur which require the customer to re-schedule training to another Learning Connexions public training course. All transfers must be confirmed by email and the following fees will apply immediately.

There is no charge for transferring your booking to the same course on an alternative date provided you notify us in writing up to 10 working days before the start of the course and that there is a place available.

A transfer fee of 20% of the course fee (plus VAT) will be payable if notice is received within 10 working days of the start date of the original course.

No refund will be made in the event of a transfer. Please note that we cannot allow more than one transfer (unless agreed otherwise).

A supplementary fee invoice will be issued for transfer fees.

In the event of a cancellation and you are due a refund, Learning Connexions will refund course fees paid based on method of payment. If payment for the order was originally made by credit card, any refund due will be made back to the same card. If payment for the order was made by another method, the refund will be made by direct bank transfer.

Card Charges

Learning Connexions is responsible for covering any credit card charges arising from use of the online registration system. However, in the event of a cancellation, these fees may be passed on to the Customer.

The location and date of the event will be notified to the customer at the time of booking. However, Learning Connexions reserves the right to cancel or change any public or in-house course and undertakes to provide reasonable notice of the cancellation or change except in the case of an emergency.  All such event changes will be avoided if at all possible.

In these circumstances Learning Connexions will refund, in full, all monies paid by the customer for event fees in respect of the cancelled/rescheduled events or alternatively apply such payments to alternative events.

The customer will not be entitled to any compensation, costs or damages arising from such a cancellation or change. We will do our best to accommodate delegates on to a suitable alternative course/date.

Course Content

Course content will be as advised at the time of booking although Learning Connexions reserves the right to make such improvements that it feels appropriate to the course so that our customers benefit fully from the training. Such changes will not be advised to the customer.

For multiple delegates on public courses, we offer the following discount off our list price when booked online at the same time. This will be automatically applied when you check out.

Early Bird Discounts

Learning Connexions offers a discount for customers registering and paying at least 4 weeks prior to the course start date. Please see our website for current prices.

Previous Student/Alumni Discount

Learning Connexions offers previous Learning Connexions students a discount of up to 10% off selected future courses booked by the same student. Please enquire for details.

Promotional Discounts

From time to time we run promotional discounts for courses through our newsletter. Please use the appropriate code during check out to ensure your discount is applied automatically.

Please contact us if you encounter any problems whilst trying to apply a discount code.

Discounts and Special Offers are at the discretion of Learning Connexions and can be withdrawn at any time.

Travel and accommodation are NOT included in the price of the course fee.

Hotels

We do not recommend any specific hotels and do not have any discounted deals. Our recommendation is to use www.hotels.com or another booking site for the best options based on your needs and budget so please check directly. Our main training venue is located in Farringdon/ Holborn or use post code EC1N 2NQ for closest options to the course venue.

Please note in the unforeseen circumstances of a course date change/ cancellation then these will not be reimbursed so please wait till you receive your Course Joining Instructions to make travel arrangements.

Any travel or accommodation booked before receipt CJI’s should be on a flexible (fully refundable) basis, in case of any event changes.

Learning Connexions welcomes customers from overseas, but for residents outside of the European Union, a valid visa, and the ability to comply with all immigration requirements should be in place prior to making a course booking.

Customers wishing to apply for entry to the UK should contact the nearest British Mission that offers a visa service. A full list of UK Overseas Missions is provided on www.fco.gov.uk.

Please note that Learning Connexions training and events do not qualify customers for a student visa or for entry to the UK or other EU countries.

Learning Connexions cannot process course bookings from outside the EU without full payment in advance. Once payment has been made, cancellation fees are payable in accordance with terms and conditions outlined in this document.

If you require a visitor visa to attend a course in London, you need to register and pay for the class online first.

Once we have received payment, we will then issue you the sponsor letter. You need to send an email to info@learningconnexions.com with a copy of your passport page, proposed travel dates and the name/ address of the embassy consulate and then we will get this arranged for you accordingly.

Travel costs or other expenses incurred are entirely the responsibility of the customer.

There is an availability countdown on courses if there are 7 or fewer spaces available. When a course is FULL there is an option to join the waitlist and you will automatically be notified if a space becomes available.

Waitlist spaces are on a first come first serve basis and you must book and pay online to confirm the space when you receive the automated email notification to guarantee a spot. If you do not accept/ decline the waitlist space, then the system automatically emails the next person on the list within 4 hours.

In no event shall Learning Connexions Limited be responsible or liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations hereunder arising out of or caused by, directly or indirectly, forces beyond its control, including, without limitation, strikes, work stoppages, accidents, acts of war or terrorism, civil or military disturbances, nuclear or natural catastrophes, inclement weather and communications or computer (software and hardware) services, it being understood that Learning Connexions Limited shall use reasonable best efforts which are consistent with accepted practices as a training provider to resume performance as soon as practicable under the circumstances.

Learning Connexions will not be liable for indirect losses, consequential losses or loss of anticipated profit or data; however, such losses arise.
